Photographed during blue hour to emphasise structure and atmosphere

Cinematic Architecture

Buildings are designed to be experienced at human scale – the way light moves across a concrete facade at golden hour, the compression of a glass tower against an overcast sky, the negative space between structure and city. My job is to hold that feeling in a single frame.

I photograph commercial and residential architecture across London and the UK, working with architects, developers, and property brands who need images that go beyond documentation. Not just ‘what it looks like’ but ‘how it feels to be there’.

Every project starts with a conversation about what matters most – the material palette, the relationship to the streetscape, the hour of light. That conversation shapes the shot list, the day, and the edit.

Architecture photography is not about showing buildings. It is about the space they occupy within their environment and the people that occupy them.

[ Background ]

My background is in Feature Animation and VFX – I spent years working on the visual language of light, form, and atmosphere before while honing my eye for photography. That training never leaves you.

[ How I Work ]

From brief to final delivery

01

Brief

We talk through the project – the site, the audience, the intended use. I ask about key views, materials, and must-have moments. A rough shot list takes shape.

02

Site Visit

Where possible I walk the site before the shoot day. Light direction, access logistics, and compositional opportunities are mapped in advance.

03

Shoot

On the day I work methodically through the agreed shots, but stay alert for the unexpected — a shaft of light, a passing cloud, a human-scale moment that tells the story better than any planned frame.

04

Edit & Deliver

Images are colour-graded and retouched to a high-end degree typical of previous work. You receive high-resolution files and web-optimised versions, delivery times depend on workload and scope, usually between 1-2 weeks.
